ARC 13u ELITE TAKE THIRD PLACE AT THE AAU NATIONALS

ARC 13u ELITE TAKE THIRD PLACE AT THE AAU NATIONALS

The ARC 13u Elite proved that they are one of the best teams in the nation, taking 3rd place at the AAU National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. Their only loss came in the semi-finals to the hometown North Carolina team that won the Championship. This team has proven year after year and in all tournaments that they are consistently an outstanding team worthy of all the praise they receive. These players will be the future stars of youth basketball and will be a joy to watch as they excel in 8th Grade competition and then in high school and college.

Congratulations to these former ARC star players who had an outstanding 2017-2018 year in college basketball.

WHAT HAPPENS TO RECENT FORMER ARC STARS AS THEY GET OLDER?

They lead their teams to the NCAA Championships and March Madness

Tyler Dorsey of the University of Oregon and a member of the PAC 12 All Freshmen Team scored 23 points and had 9 rebounds to lead Oregon to the PAC 12 Championship and to a Number One seed at the NCAA Championships. Tyler, a former 7-year ARC Superstar, has scored at least 19 points in his last 4 games and is ready to continue his outstanding all-around play during March Madness. Kendall Small, a former ARC teammate of Tyler’s, is a strong reserve guard on the Oregon team.

Stephen Thompson Jr.,  another former teammate on Tyler’s ARC team, has become a top scorer on his Oregon State team, and has helped lead them to the NCAA Championships.

Derryck Thornton is the dynamic starting point guard at Duke, who led his 9-year old ARC team to the National Championship and was also a member of Tyler’s team.

Bennie Boatwright, still another former member of Tyler’s ARC team, is one of the main reasons USC has turned it around and he has helped lead USC to the National Championships.

Help the ARC 13s Elite go to AAU Nationals
Feb 11, 2016, 5:35 pm

For the last 5 years, the ARC 13s Elite has worked hard to improve their individual and team skills to the point where they can be considered an elite team. This year the team will qualify to participate in the AAU National Championships, July 2-9, in Greensboro, NC .

However, the team consists of players of low income players throughout Southern California and they will not be able to afford the airfare and lodging necessry to attend the national tournament. ARC (American Roundball Corporation) is a non-profit program and tries to make it possible for young players to play even if they can't afford it. Approximately $5,000 per player is needed to make this trip happen and there are 10 players and 3 coaches and various parents to serve as chaperones, so the total needed would be around $50,000.

The exposure that they will receive from this experience will put them on a path to possibly receiving a college scholarship, besides being something they will remember for the rest of their lives. Please make it possible for these young players to afford this life-changing oppurtunity.

ARC WINTER LEAGUE SETS RECORD FOR TEAMS
Jan 20, 2016, 5:29 pm

Last year, the ARC Winter League had a record high 180 teams. This year, the current ARC Winter League has shattered that record with a staggering 252 teams, an increase of 72 teams from last year. ARC thanks all the record breaking teams for their incredible support.
