ARC congratulates former star player Byron Scott,
Coach of the New Orleans Hornets, on being named NBA Coach of the Year. Byron was a key member of the first ARC National Championship Team in 1978, and he has given ARC credit for first putting him in the national spotlight that led to his receiving a college scholarship at Arizona State University. Byron won numerous NBA titles as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, was head coach of the New Jersey Nets, and has done an outstanding job turning the Hornets into an NBA Championship contender.
